The old adage that writers should write about what they know has paid off handsomely for Luke Bryan, who just scored his second consecutive gold single for the multi-week No. 1 song, 'Rain Is a Good Thing.' His first No. 1 gold record was 'Do I.'

It was Luke's memories of life as a peanut farmer's son that inspired the song he co-wrote with Dallas Davidson. "That always kind of set the tone for the mood in my household, whether we had rain coming in or not," Luke tells The Boot. "If it rained, we knew the crops would be good, and it was going to be a good day or a good week around the Bryan household!"

This year has been joyful for the current Bryan household for personal reasons, too. Luke and his wife Caroline welcomed their second son Tatum "Tate" Christopher Bryan on August 11. Luke says young Tate and his two-year old brother Thomas Boyer "Bo" Bryan will soon be his best fishing buddies. "We are so blessed to have another healthy baby boy. All the fishing holes in Nashville better look out when I get out there in the next few years with Tate and big brother Bo!"

For now, though, Luke is on tour with his next date August 25 in Boise, Idaho, followed by a concert on August 26 in Bremerton, Wash. For more information about Luke's upcoming concerts, including the Farm Tour which will donate proceeds to charities in farming communities, click here.
