Luke Bryan is only a few weeks away from the release of his Spring Break ... Here's to the Party album, but his mind is already on another set of tunes. The Georgia native is working on the follow up to his tailgates & tanlines CD, which he promises will be unlike anything he has released in the past.

"With every album, the approach is find the best songs you can find, write the best songs you can write and try to sound better," Luke told The Boot and other reporters at a recent media event. "What little simple thing is going to be the difference of this album sounding a lot better than the last one? I think we've been able to do that. There's one style of song that I think I'm missing right now, that I want to sit down and try to write or try to find. I think if we find that one style of song, we're home free of being leaps and bounds better than tailgates & tanlines."

Not only will the upcoming album be filled with hits, Luke promises, but he also says he is singing better than ever. "I've never been at this level vocally, and I'm proud of that," the 36-year-old notes. "It's a lot of technical stuff that no one really wants to know about, but I know that vocally, I think this will be the best that I've been. I'm starting to know more about recording and being a true recording artist. From the first album, all I did was try to sing loud in the studio. I think that just having a big, loud voice was the thing to do. Now I've really learned that each song and the style of delivering it -- there's so many things that I've learned different. I think it's finally all coming together and I'm proud of that."

Luke also hints that a few of his celebrity friends might make an appearance on the album. "Jason [Aldean] and I are rolling around an idea where there's one song he's going to have some involvement on," he reveals. "[Lady Antebellum members] Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood and I got together and wrote a song that's still out there and we're still trying to figure out what to do with it."

Luke is juggling working on the new album with his Dirt Road Diaries tour, which takes him to Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri this weekend. See a list of his upcoming shows here.
