"Rain is a good thing," Luke Bryan's song goes -- but it's not so good for an outdoor concert.

Bryan has been forced to postpone his Thursday (Oct. 1) 2015 Farm Tour stop in Lexington, Ky., due to bad weather. The country superstar revealed the news via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

"Postponing a show is so difficult for me because I know it an inconvenience to the people that make my life amazing. The fans. Very sorry!" Bryan writes, adding in a follow-up tweet, "Rain is not a good thing when farmers are trying to harvest crops and I'm doing farm tour shows."

Bryan will return to Lexington on Oct. 6 for the rescheduled concert. The show will take place at Talon Farm & Winery.

The "Strip It Down" singer kicked off his 2015 Farm Tour on Wednesday (Sept. 30) in Ft. Wayne, Ind. In addition to that show and Bryan's Lexington date, six concerts are scheduled as part of the tour, through Oct. 10. Sam Hunt, the Peach PickersChris Janson, Chancie Neal and DJ Rock are joining Bryan for the eight-city trek.

“Farm Tour is just fun to me, and it’s something that, anytime you can start something that starts small and grow it,” Bryan says. “We never want to make it this really ginormous thing that we can’t control, but we want to make sure it’s on our terms, and we love doing it. And then we want to make sure that the communities that we partner up with, from the sheriff’s office to the highway patrol guys to the colleges to the college kids, we want to make sure it’s a positive thing at the end of the day for the communities.”
