Lee Ann WomackLee Ann Womack sometimes has to pinch herself when she realizes she is opening shows for her two heroes -- George Strait and Reba McEntire. The Texas native, who used to skip school to see George in concert, has previously toured with him, and she tends to soak in everything he did or didn't do onstage.

However, she hasn't asked the legendary performer for any tips, like most newer acts probably have done. "He's not one to dole out advice," Lee Ann tells The Boot. "I remember early on ... him looking at me dead on and saying, 'Now don't take yourself too seriously.' And that has always stuck with me, because come on, this is not brain surgery and we're not out to save the world. We're out to entertain. And that's what he does. He doesn't preach to people. He doesn't tell people who to vote for or not or get political, or anything like that. He just delivers one great song after another. So, it really made an impact on me."

Lee Ann is in the final stages of completing her new album, which is expected later this year. But for now, you can still find her on tour with George and Reba -- the next stop is in Omaha, Neb., on April 8.
