Lee Ann Womack is always honored to be nominated for an industry award, but her inclusion among the nominees for this year's ACM Awards is even more special.

The singer is vying for the Top Female Vocalist of the Year, along with her current tour mate and idol, Reba McEntire. "I just texted her that day when the nominations came out and said, 'We're going to be full of ourselves this weekend, aren't we?'," Lee Ann tells The Boot.

"It's great. It's unbelievable," Lee Ann continues. "I can remember going to see her when I was in high school, and to think I'm nominated at the same time as her, that is really special to me, because I can be nominated with people now that are great, that I had never heard of then. But to be nominated in the same category with one of your heroes, it really feels special."

The two are up against Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift for Top Female Vocalist. The 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by Reba, will air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 18 on CBS.
