Country-pop singer Leanne Weiss is sharing her newest single, "Throwback," and she's letting readers of The Boot hear it first.

"Throwback" is from Weiss' forthcoming EP, Momentum, which is slated for release this fall. The song is country-pop at its finest: lyrics that every girl (or guy) who's had a bad relationship can relate to, a chorus that will get stuck in your head (in a good way) and an easy-listening sound that will just make you feel good.

"You could buy a round of shots / Get me drunk / Enough to make stay / You could be down on your knees / Beg me please / But I'm walking away," Weiss sings in the chorus. She goes on to add, "Not another heartbreak / Not another remake / I'm done with yesterday / You want to relive the past / Just for old time's sake / But I don't want to be your throwback."

Weiss makes her point crystal clear during the song, and it resonates in such a way both lyrically and musically that you'll want to press repeat -- even if she doesn't.

"Why would I press repeat / Replay that scene?" she sings. "You and I are history."

Momentum is the follow-up project to Weiss' debut country EP, For Love, which was released in October of 2013. The talented singer has opened for well-known country acts such as Dierks Bentley, Gloriana, Kristian Bush, Michael Ray and Josh Dorr.
