LeAnn Rimes has announced that her next album will be a collection of cover songs produced by Vince Gill. The singer revealed news of the new disc while playing at ASCAP's Music Café at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week. The twist: All the songs were originally made popular by men.

"I'm making two records right now," she told the packed crowd at the small Stanfield Gallery on Park City's Main Street. "There's one that I've been working on for a year, but now have another one coming out in June."

That would be the covers album, which will sneak in ahead of the new album of originals. While writing for the new album, she and collaborator Darrell Brown "had the idea to do my favorite country love songs in a different way," she said. "When I was younger, I was always told I couldn't sing men's songs ... well, screw that."

LeAnn, who recently split from husband Dean Sheremet, also played a number of new songs during her 45-minute set, including premiering a track she wrote with Darrell and David Baerwald of David & David fame.

'What Have I Done' is easily one of the rawest songs the country-pop singer has ever performed. The tune addresses the aftermath of breaking someone's heart, with lyrics including, "What have I done/I broke the sweetest heart of the only man who ever loved me." Is it confessional? You decide....
