Lauren Alaina's first-ever headlining tour will have to wait. The country singer is pushing her 2019 That Girl Was Me Tour to early 2020 because of her spot on Dancing With the Stars.

Alaina was scheduled to begin her That Girl Was Me Tour in September; instead, she'll be competing in the 28th season of the TV dance competition Dancing With the Stars this fall and will tour beginning in January. All of the shows that Alaina originally announced in late May are still part of the trek, just on different dates, and Filmore will still be her opening act.

"After talking to a few of my friends who have been on the show, I realized I couldn’t give the show and the tour 100 percent," Alaina writes on Instagram. "Dancing with the Stars is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I am so excited about ... I am SO sorry for any inconvenience this causes to those of you who may not be able to make the new dates. I hope I can make it up to you somehow. I’m so thankful for your support in this crazy journey we are on."

An updated list of Alaina's That Girl Was Me Tour concerts is below, and a press release reports that more stops are to be announced as well. According to Alaina's Instagram post, fans have the option to either have their tickets refunded or keep their tickets and come to the rescheduled shows.

Alaina is one of a dozen celebrities who will be paired up with professional dancers to compete in DWTS' elimination-style competition on live TV each week this fall. Dancing With the Stars' other Season 28 contestants include supermodel Christie Brinkley, Supremes member Mary Wilson and former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

"Everyone really needs to pray for me because I'm not a dancer," says Alaina. It was her friend, country radio DJ and DWTS Season 27 winner Bobby Bones, who encouraged Alaina to participate in the show.

"She was like, 'But I’ve never danced!' I was like, 'Yeah, me either.' I didn’t know I was gonna win at that point [when I agreed to do the show]," Bones told The Boot at the 2019 ACM Honors. "I was like, 'It doesn’t matter. It’s really hard, but you’re gonna love it.'"

Several other country personalities have competed on Dancing With the Stars throughout its years on TV. Kellie Pickler won Season 16's mirror ball trophy in 2013, while Sara Evans, Billy Ray Cyrus, Wynonna Judd, Jana Kramer and John Schneider are all former contestants as well.
