Kree Harrison took finishing second to Candice Glover on 'American Idol' as graciously as possible on Thursday night (May 16). The country singer from Texas was the first to smile and hug 23-year-old Glover as she broke into tears. "This is not he end of the road," Harrison said afterward, speaking about her career.

"I'm so proud of her and I am proud of myself for getting this far and I couldn't believe I was standing there with her at the finale," Harrison told Hollywood Life.

Glover struggled with her words during her emotional celebration with friends, fellow Season 12 contestants and family. "Three years," she said, sobbing and referring to her three separate tryouts for the reality television show.

Harrison told MTV that she wants 'All Cried Out' to be her first single because it's a good indication of where her career is headed from here. She hopes to debut new music while on the American Idol Tour, which begins next month in St. Louis. The 22-year-old is nothing but grateful for her experience, even if she finished just short of her ultimate goal.

"I get to travel the country and thank each and every one of them for voting for me and getting me this far," she said. "As many hugs as I can possible give, I will."

Thursday night's 'American Idol' finale included performances by Keith Urban and the Band Perry, who sang 'Done' with Season 12 contestant Janelle Arthur. Urban performed his new single 'Little Bit of Everything' before taking the stage with outgoing judge Randy Jackson, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Harrison to sing 'Where the Blacktop Ends.'
