Kid Rock Teams With Brantley Gilbert for Red Blooded Rock ‘n’ Roll Redneck Extravaganza
Hot on the heels of wrapping his American Rock 'n' Roll Tour (originally named the Greatest Show on Earth Tour) and releasing his 2017 album, Sweet Southern Sugar, Kid Rock has unveiled plans to head back out on the road late this summer for his Red Blooded Rock 'n' Roll Redneck Extravaganza Tour.
In partnership with Live Nation, the tour will kick off on Aug. 3 in Bangor, Maine and span 15 cities nationwide before concluding on Oct. 12 in West Palm Beach, Fla. The country-flavored Southern rock star will bring along two of his hard-partying, barn-burning country friends out on the road: Brantley Gilbert and Wheeler Walker Jr. are slotted to perform most of the tour's stops, with additional support from A Thousand Horses on select dates.
Both tickets and VIP packages will go on sale beginning April 13 at 10AM local time via Live Nation, but Fan Club members will be able to buy their tickets a bit early: For his fan club, Rock plans to make tickets available for purchase on April 10 at 10AM local time.
In February, the country star released his new music video for the single, "American Rock 'n' Roll," off of Sweet Southern Sugar. While Rock is known for his raucous party anthems, "American Rock 'n' Roll" dials the energy back just a few notches, and the result is a poignant, nostalgic track that, despite its introspective elements, doesn't lose any of the singalong power that is Rock's signature. Readers can check out the new music video here.
