Kenny Rogers will receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 CMA awards. The award will be celebrated with an all-star tribute from Rascal Flatts, Jennifer Nettles and Darius Rucker.

According to, the award was created last year to honor country artists who have “achieved both national and international prominence and stature through concert performances, humanitarian efforts, philanthropy, record sales, and public representation at the highest level.”

He represents everything that this award was intended to recognize when we initiated it last year with Willie.”
