Kenny Chesney has earned is tenth platinum album certification with 'Hemingway's Whiskey,' crossing the sales milestone of more than a million copies sold. Released Sept. 28, 2010, the 11-song collection features some of the Tennessee native's most personal material to date.

"I knew I wanted the record to be something more, something that took what I do in my special projects and weaved it into what I do for the mainstream," Kenny says. "It takes a lot of energy and mental space to be on the road."

Concerning the album's title, Kenny acknowledges the Guy Clark-penned album closer seemed to be the most appropriate way to sum up the project. "It's a song that talks about living life to its fullest, being a man about your responsibilities and not compromising. As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to cut it -- and call the album that -- because it says everything about the way you live your life, and what life can be if you refuse to buy into limits, which, as someone who's read all his books, is everything Hemingway's novels revolved around."

'Hemingway's Whiskey' has already produced four Top 5 singles, with a triage of consecutive No. 1 singles -- 'The Boys of Fall,' 'Live a Little' and 'Somewhere With You.' The singer recently nabbed a pair of Grammy nominations for his Grace Potter collaboration, 'You and Tequila,' which is named in the Best Country Song and Best Duo/Group Country Performance categories. The album's fifth chart climber, 'Reality,' is currently nearing the Top 10.

Although it doesn't kick off until June 2012, Kenny's Brothers of the Sun tour with pal Tim McGraw is already breaking his personal record, selling 275,000 concert tickets for the first eight available dates. The outing is poised to become Kenny's eighth consecutive tour to sell more than one million concert tickets.
