Kenny Chesney Songs Will Highlight CMA Benefit
Kenny Chesney won't be at the upcoming CMA Music Festival in Nashville, but many of the songs he popularized will be performed at a June 10 event at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Several songwriters who wrote hits Kenny made famous will perform those songs to benefit Musicians on Call, a non-profit organization that offers live and recorded music to help speed the healing of patients in health care facilities.
The songwriters who are scheduled to attend -- and the songs they wrote and will likely perform -- include: Mac McAnally ('Down the Road,' 'Back Where I Come From'), Craig Wiseman ('Good Stuff,' 'Ain't Back Yet,' 'Summertime'), Brett James ('When the Sun Goes Down,' 'Out Last Night,'), Neil Thrasher ('There Goes My Life,' 'I Lost It'), Wendell Mobley ('There Goes My Life,' 'How Forever Feels') and Casey Beathard ('Don't Blink,' 'No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems').
The CMA Music Festival takes place June 10-13. For details, check the event website.
