Kenny Chesney celebrated his No. 1 single, 'Down The Road,' on Monday, alongside songwriter Mac McAnally.

"To be able to take a song like 'Down The Road' and have a guy like Mac on it with you ..." Chesney gushed during the party. "In my career, where I've had a lot of blessings, this song is definitely a blessing. This is my favorite No. 1."

After Chesney's speech, McAnally admitted that it would be hard to buy a gift for someone like Chesney, so he instead gave him something near and dear to him. Presenting Chesney with a Martin guitar he bought back in 1970 for $50, McAnally said, "I've probably written one-third of the songs I've ever written on this guitar. This is connected to me, and it's still got songs in it."

'Down the Road' is Chesney's sixteenth No. 1 single. The song is nominated for Vocal Event of the Year at the ACM awards next month.
