Kellie Pickler Adds ‘Shabby-Chic’ Touch to Touring

Kellie Pickler has a new hobby, thanks to some new digs both on and off the road. The singer is playing interior designer! While Kellie is in the midst of decorating her newly-purchased home in Nashville, she's also designing a new set of wheels.

"I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do inside of the [tour] bus," Kellie tells The Boot. "When you build a bus, it's very much like building a house ... Where do you want the electrical sockets? What kind of sockets do you want? Do you want your light here or there? What kind of walls do you want? What kind of floor do you want? Picking out the tile. Picking out the carpet or hardwood. It's just crazy, but it's a lot of fun!"

Thanks to a friend of Kellie's who works at a chic furniture store in Leipers Fork, Tenn., the process of picking out furniture will be a lot easier. "She travels all over the world to find these beautifully unique French antiques," Kellie explains of her friend. "I love that shabby-chic French feel. My bus is going to be very much like that."

One thing Kellie knows for certain ... her new bus is all hers! "I've been on my own bus for a while now, and I don't think I could ever share a bus anymore," she laughs. "That is my diva thing. I don't like to share a bus, especially when you're traveling with a bunch of guys. You want to be able to get up in the middle of the night in whatever you're wearing -- or not wearing -- and go to the bathroom or fix a glass of orange juice. I can't do that with a bus full of guys!"

Kellie's latest single is 'Makin' Me Fall In Love Again' off her self-titled sophomore album.
