Kellie Pickler, who's currently on the Fearless tour with Taylor Swift, is seeing a lot of the US, but mostly from the back of a bus. And the irony of her "little house on wheels" isn't lost on the singer, who was raised in a North Carolina trailer park .

"Funny," Kellie tells OK! magazine. "As a child I thought, 'I'm going to be a big country star so I can get out of this damn trailer.' Then I go and get one. I mean it's a $1 million trailer but it's still a trailer."

And even though, with the success she's had, Kellie could certainly afford to stay in nice hotels along the way, she prefers to sleep on the bus, in a king-size bed, snuggling with her Chihuahua, Moo Moo.

"I don't want to sleep on somebody else's mattress, so even five-star hotels are horrid to me," says Kellie, admitting that there are other things she prefers to keep for herself. "I like sitting on my own toilet that no one else has sat on."

Kellie adds that she enjoys her own company ("I don't like people," she jokes) and spends a lot of time talking to herself, contemplating the things she'd like to do in the future.

"I would love to cross over into television and film," she says. "And I have to meet Clint Eastwood. Of course I would love to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry. It would be such a huge honor."

As for her romantic goals, Kellie's advice, perhaps based on past experience, is: "Find what makes you happy and make it happen. And never settle ... don't settle for some loser guy who treats you like s--t; go find a man. Somebody who knows how to fix things. Not someone worried about breaking a nail. I can't date someone who wears more makeup than I do!"

The 22-year-old wants to explore her more adventurous side too, insisting that she needs to attempt both skydiving and scuba diving.

"I'll be the first one to do something crazy. I've always kinda been a tomboy. My grandmother would try to dress me up in a pretty dress but I'd come home with the fabric ripped, holes in my pantyhose and gum in my hair. I was not a lady. I would fall out of trees and climb on the roof."

Kellie is currently climbing the country chart with her single 'Best Days of Your Life.'
