Kellie Pickler is trading in her high heels for basketball sneakers! The new bride has been tapped to headline a free concert April 2 in Indianapolis, as part of the NCAA Women's Final Four basketball tournament festival.

"I'm thrilled to be bringing our show to the NCAA Women's Final Four in Indianapolis," Kellie tells Indiana station RTV6. "The fans will already be in great spirits supporting their favorite teams and we can't wait to be part of the excitement."

Indiana native, and rising country star, Casey Jamerson, will open for Kellie, with more artists expected to be announced.

Kellie is enjoying time with her new husband, Kyle Jacobs, after an unplanned Caribbean wedding. "It was perfect because we didn't plan anything," she reveals. "We didn't know what kind of cake we were going to get, we didn't have our food picked out. We totally just put faith in God that it would work out, and it did!"

The former 'American Idol' contestant is hard at work on a new album, but will head out later this month for a series of shows, including stops in North Dakota and Minnesota. See her schedule here.
