Kellie Pickler will appear as herself on an episode of the hit ABC drama 'Nashville' airing Wednesday night (May 7), and she says she is thrilled with the opportunity.

“It was so much fun to be on this particular episode of ‘Nashville’ since it was filmed at Ft. Campbell, and I got to perform in front of our military and their families,” she says. “I can’t wait to see the finished episode and hope they ask me to come back and do another one!”

In the episode, called 'All Or Nothing With Me,' Rayna James (Connie Britton) organizes a charity concert at the military base afters she finds out Luke Wheeler (Will Chase) has been injured while performing in Afghanistan. It's a fitting episode for Pickler, who has completed seven USO tours, performing for the troops stationed overseas.

“I come from a military family. I’ve always had a great deal of respect for our service men and women,” she explains. “I work a lot with the USO, I love working with them. We’ve been able to do so many tours overseas. To be in a position where you can take a little piece of home to your service men and women, why would you not do that? They need to know we have their back because they have ours.”

Pickler isn't the only famous face who will star in tonight's episode. First Lady Michelle Obama will also appear as herself.

'Nashville' airs Wednesday night at 10PM ET on ABC.
