Kellie Pickler pays homage to a childhood hero with "It's Such a Good Feeling," her contribution to an upcoming compilation tribute, Thank You, Mister Rogers: Music & Memories. In a preview for the new song premiered by Billboard, the singer explains that -- like many of Mister Rogers' fans -- she associates his show and music with warm childhood memories.

"My grandmother had a big part in raising me, so I grew up on very traditional music, very traditional programming. Mister Rogers was a safe place in our home, so I was always able to watch his show with my granny," Pickler explains in the clip.

Her relationship with the music notwithstanding, the singer tells Billboard that she is "shocked seeing my name in the list amongst the incredible performers and artists on this album." The Monkees' Micky Dolenz, Lee Greenwood, Tom Bergeron and the Cowsills are just a few of the entertainers who join Picker in tributing America's favorite neighbor on the new project.

Thank You Mister Rogers is due for release on Oct. 25, kicking off Thank You Mister Rogers Month. The month-long celebration of Mister Rogers' legacy will conclude with the release of a November 2019 biopic, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, starring Tom Hanks.

Mister Rogers, aka Frank Rogers, hosted children's TV show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood out of Pittsburgh, Penn. for over three decades. The show, which highlighted music and imagination, encouraged good citizenship and cultivating a welcoming, open-minded community. Rogers wrote over 200 songs during his life, and often sang during his role as show host. He died of stomach cancer in 2003, aged 74.
