Kellie Pickler insists she doesn't need any shiny packages under her Christmas tree this year, because she already has the best present of all: husband Kyle Jacobs.

"Marriage is so special," the 'Tough' singer tells People magazine. "I never thought that I would get married, so I'm glad that I let that wall down. I'm glad that I let Kyle love me. He is the greatest blessing in my life."

Kyle, a successful country songwriter, expressed his love for his wife of almost a year the old-fashioned way -- by writing down his feelings and sharing them with her in a journal. "He's been doing it since before we got engaged and [then] I started a journal for him," Kellie explains. "It's one of those things you write in not for any special occasion but just because you love one another. It shouldn't take holidays for you to act like you like each other and be nice to one another. You should be like that every day."

The blond beauty knew early on that Kyle was the one for her. "He makes me feel so, so great about myself," Kellie gushed to The Boot. "I feel so beautiful when I'm with him. He always tells me he likes me better with no makeup on and sweatpants. He makes me feel the most beautiful when I'm with him. As long as I'm healthy, then he is fine with whatever I wear."

The 'American Idol' alum appeared last week in the TV special, 'CMA Country Christmas,' and will continue to ring in the holiday cheer next week with pop star Michael Bublé, for his Christmas special, 'A Michael Bublé Christmas.'

"Michael and the entire cast was so warm and welcoming," she notes, adding with a smile, "They made me feel all Bublé."

Kellie is also eager for the release of her new album, '100 Proof,' which will hit shelves on January 12. The CD takes the singer-songwriter back to the traditional country music she grew up on, and still loves today. Kellie will play a few shows in December, before she takes some time off for the holidays. Keep track of her schedule here.
