Kellie Pickler is one of only a handful of 'American Idol' alums who've made it big beyond the show. Still, she thinks she could've done even better than her sixth place finish on 'Idol' Season 5, if only she'd been saved!

The reality competition show has a new 'Judges Save' rule that allows the four judges to bring back a contestant who has been voted off by viewers.

"I wish they'd have had that when I was there," Pickler laments to VH-1. "Maybe I could've got saved!"

Pickler's advice to current contestants is simply to not take themselves so seriously. "It's all about having a good time, and as long as you're enjoying yourself, success is defined by happiness," she says. "So just have fun, enjoy it and pick songs that you love."

Pickler says it's a "possibility" that she may return to the show this season to perform.
