Keith Urban must undergo throat surgery, causing his All for the Hall benefit concert to be postponed. Later this month, doctors will remove a polyp that has developed on the country superstar's vocal cords. It's a minor, out-patient procedure, but Keith will have to go on complete vocal rest for a while.

All for the Hall is an annual fundraising show for Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, a place near and dear to Keith's heart. He has been organizing the Nashville concert for four years now, with 2012's lineup shaping up to surely result in a quick sell-out. Fellow country superstars scheduled to perform on what was originally planned for January 18, 2012 include Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Little Big Town and the Oak Ridge Boys. Historically, Keith and Vince have performed with every artist as the "house band." Let's hope they can all make the rescheduled date! There's no word yet on when that will be, but we'll let you know.

Leading up to his surgery, Keith will have to scale back some of his shows and appearances that involve multiple songs. But he will keep his CMA Awards performance slot on the November 9 live broadcast. Keith is up for two CMA honors this year, including the coveted CMA Entertainer of the Year award.
