Keith UrbanThroughout his career, Keith Urban has played a variety of venues -- arenas, coliseums, clubs, bars and dives. This week, however, the singer played a unique space -- a 5' by 15' stage constructed at a downtown New York City space where he performed acoustically and answered questions from the 140 Verizon Wireless and Samsung electronics customers in attendance.

"I've never played a loft before," Keith said from the stage where he performed several hits including his latest Top 10, ''Til Summer Comes Around,' as well as 'Better Life' and 'Only You Can Love Me This Way' where he had the audience singing along.

"[After that], you should be referred to as the 'Loftettes,' and if you're in this room, you're an official member," Keith joked. "We should do a whole tour like that -- with lots of tour buses!"

One fan in attendance, Mark Minich, requested a lesser-known album cut, 'Learn to Live Another Day,' from Keith's 'Be Here' CD, although Keith was unsure he could even remember the lyrics. "I haven't played that in like 40 years!" he told the crowd as he strummed his guitar to fall into the song's melody.

As Mark hummed out the first few bars of the song, Keith decided to make it a duet with the fan joining Keith onstage to sing lead. (Watch video of their performance below.) Keith was fumbling for words later on -- but not because of a song. When a young fan asked what Keith got wife Nicole Kidman for Valentine's Day, the singer blushed and teased the crowd, speaking into the microphone creating a choppy effect with his voice to simulate a wiring problem with the mic, thereby avoiding answering the question.
