Keith Urban Calls Fatherhood ‘Pure Bliss’

Keith Urban is sharing the joys of fatherhood with his fans.

"Like any of you who are parents yourselves, we're experiencing the pure bliss of welcoming her into our lives," Urban writes on his website of 10-day-old daughter, Sunday Rose. "We're all doing superbly well and we continue to be absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and well wishes we are receiving. Thank you all for your beautiful notes and prayers."

Sunday Rose is Urban's first child with wife Nicole Kidman. She was born July 7 in Nashville, where the Urban clan has hosted several family members from Australia in the past week. But the country star will have to tear himself away this weekend to get back to work.

"I can't wait for Saturday night's stadium show in Philadelphia," he writes, "my first gig as a father!"
