Keith AndersonKeith Anderson is already in the giving Christmas spirit -- he's offering fans a sneak peak into his upcoming album project. "This record is back to drinking and making love," the ruggedly handsome singer tells The Boot.

"Our last record had a little darker, introspective feel to it because when we started recording it I had just lost my mom and [producer Jeffrey Steele] had lost his son. It was a different time in our life and the music reflected that."

The singer/songwriter says he's been putting pen to paper throughout the last year and is very pleased with the songs he's written. "This time we're at a totally different place. We've already done five songs, and they're all the kind of fun-loving songs that we had on our first album. This is going to be a fun record."

Keith says there is also a certain sense of freedom as he starts to work on his third album -- having left his record label, Sony Music, last month. "We've always recorded songs that we love, but it's fun right now to be in the studio with Jeffrey. We can take our time and play with things, and if it doesn't work, we still have time to do it a different way. We don't feel any pressure to get something out by a particular deadline."

Jeffrey and Keith have been friends since the singer moved to town. The two first bonded as co-writers, and Keith asked his new friend to produce his debut album for Sony. "Jeffrey and I were talking the other day, saying that being in the studio for this album feels like the fun time we had when we first met and were making music together. We're having a blast!"

Keith new album is expected to be released in 2010.
