Josh Thompson is hard at work on his upcoming sophomore album, with its first single premiering right here on The Boot today! 'Comin' Around' is a catchy mid-tempo about finding out you actually didn't know it all in your teen years, and coming around to appreciate your roots.

"I blew out of here the next day after graduation / Destination anywhere with a higher population / Never to return to this tiny town / But I'm comin' around"

"'Comin' Around' is one of those songs that I knew was special as soon as we finished writing it," Josh tells The Boot. "The lyrics are 100% truth, and the melody to me is infectious. I'm excited that this is the first single to represent my second album. I think it will also show people a different side of me that they haven't seen yet."

Josh co-wrote 'Comin' Around' with Kendell Marvel and Rodney Clawson. The singer/songwriter co-penned every track on his upcoming album, just as he did on his critically-acclaimed debut, 'Way Out Here.' Josh also has cuts on both Brad Paisley's and Jason Aldean's latest CDs.

The Wisconsin native is currently on the road with Luke Bryan's CMT On Tour, which wraps up this weekend after shows in Southaven, Miss., Auburn, Ala., and Monroe, La.
