New Johnny Cash music is being released from the vault. In anticipation of the new album, Sony Music has released a video for the song 'She Used to Love Me a Lot.'

'Out Among the Stars' is set for release on March 25. The album was recorded in the early '80s with producer Billy Sherrill. Cash was signed with Columbia at the the time, but the record went unreleased. Cash was dropped by the label in 1986, but took the songs with him. They were later discovered by Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, along with the archivists at Legacy Recordings. The upcoming set will mark their first public release.

“They never threw anything away,” Carter Cash says of his parents (quote via Nashville’s Tennessean). “They kept everything in their lives. They had an archive that had everything in it from the original audio tapes from ‘The Johnny Cash Show’ to random things like a camel saddle, a gift from the prince of Saudi Arabia.”

'Out Among the Stars' includes two duets with Cash’s wife, June Carter Cash, as well as a song recorded with Waylon Jennings.

The album is available for pre-order on Amazon.
