Johnny Cash’s Son Strips Down in Canadian Airport, Gets Arrested
Johnny Cash's son, John Carter Cash, was arrested Monday (Oct. 27) for causing a disturbance after stripping down to his underwear in a Canadian airport.
Deer Lake Royal Canadian Mounted Police told CBC that Cash was trying to return to Nashville after a hunting trip in Newfoundland. While at Canada's Deer Lake Airport, he stripped down to his underwear in the middle of the airport. Officers were called around 2:10 PM and informed that he was either drunk or suffering from medical issues.
When the RCMP arrived, security told them Cash had put his clothes back on and confirmed he was drunk.
The 44-year-old, who is manager and owner of Cash Cabin Studio, was released once sober. He missed his flight and took one home the following morning. Cash was not charged; according to police, he was cooperative and has no previous criminal record.
Cash is the only son of his country legend father and mother June Carter Cash. Johnny Cash passed away September 2003, a mere four months after June's passing.
