Renowned country singer-songwriter John Anderson is sharing the premiere of his live music video for "Don't Forget to Thank the Lord" exclusively with readers of The Boot.

"Don't Forget to Thank the Lord" is Anderson's current single, which shipped to country radio in mid-September. The video is pulled from his performance of the song at the 2015 Inspirational Country Music Awards.

Anderson co-wrote the track with John Rich, and it's full of gratitude for blessings: "Don't forget to thank the teacher and the preacher / For saving your mind and your soul / Don't forget to thank the farmer, the policemen / When your world's going out of control / Don't forget to thank the mothers and the soldiers / For praying and going to war / At the end of the day / Don't forget to thank the Lord," Anderson sings in the song's chorus.

Upbeat, positive and inspirational, "Don't Forget to Thank the Lord" was inspired by Anderson's thankfulness for all of the opportunities that he's been given in his pursuit of a music career.

“I’ve always loved the Lord and been very thankful He’s allowed me to do what I do," the singer says. "That’s a pretty good message for anybody, no matter whether they like the song or not."

At the 2015 ICM Awards, Carrie Underwood took home awards for Mainstream Song of the Year, Video of the Year, and Mainstream Country Female Artist of the Year. Joey + Rory and T. Graham Brown also earned trophies.

"Don't Forget to Thank the Lord" is from Anderson's most recent album, Goldmine, which was released on May 26. Anderson wrote or co-wrote 12 of the record's 13 tracks. The album is currently available on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers.
