Country up-and-comer Jessica Lynn is preparing to release a new EP, and in advance, she's sharing one of its new songs with The Boot's readers. Press play below to hear "After Party."

Driven by a peppy guitar line, "After Party" captures the feeling of alive, young and on top of the world. Lynn describes the track as "a fun, feel-good song" about "making memories that will last a lifetime, and feeling like you can be young forever."

"Maybe we won't remember tonight, but this could be the best moment of our lives / Maybe it's wrong that it's feelin' so right / Why should we care?" Lynn sings in one verse of "After Party." Each chorus ends with the line "Oh no, the daylight, it won't chase us out tonight."

A New York native, Lynn comes from a musical family; in fact, her father, mother and husband play bass, sing background vocals and play guitar, respectively, for her. Lynn began singing at the age of four and was writing songs and forming bands by 13. When she turned 21, Lynn decided to pursue a solo country music career; since then, she's opened for Loretta Lynn, Jake Owen and more.

The EP on which "After Party" appears, Look at Me That Way, is due out on Sept. 1 in the U.S.; Lynn released the EP at the end of May in the UK and Europe, in advance of her first-ever tour dates there. The project contains three tracks, and is Lynn's second release.
