Jerrod Niemann is having a busy summer out on the road, but the singer has also been hard at work on new music, and there are a few tracks in particular that he's excited for fans to hear.

Niemann has been working on the new tunes with producer Jimmie Lee Sloas, who also worked on 2014's High Noon and has credits with artists including Garth BrooksCarrie UnderwoodKeith UrbanLeAnn RimesKellie Pickler and Reba McEntire.

“I haven’t really written hardly anything on this,” Niemann tells Taste of Country. “I’ve been sent so many cool songs."

The singer says that the project will include a ballad called "God Made a Woman," and while it won't be the lead single, he's looking forward to getting it out to fans.

"Jeff Hyde is one of the writers on it, and a guy named Joel Shewmake," Niemann explains. "It’s a special song ... [I'm] lucky to have it.”

Niemann will soon release the new record's first single, "Blue Bandana." He performed the tune at the 2015 Taste of Country Festival last month. The track name-drops a number of giant music festivals -- including MerleFest, Bonnaroo and Coachella -- and pays homage to “the girl in the blue bandana,” who represents the women seen at summer festivals across the country.

“[It] is going to be more organic," Neimann says of the song. ""Lover, Lover," "One More Drinkin’ Song" — some of those songs have a lot of acoustic sounds."

While fans wait to hear new music, they can catch Niemann on the road. See a list of upcoming dates at JerrodNiemannOffical.com.
