Jason Aldean was very hands-on in helping design the bells and whistles of the final leg of his My Kinda Party tour, which kicked off with a bang recently when he set attendance records for his first three parties: Orlando, Fla., Greenville, SC, and Fayetteville, NC. The new and improved version of his already sizzling-hot tour included plenty of input from the Grammy-nominated artist, who admits that thanks to the wonders of technology, he was able to actually see the way the stage and set would look long before the crowds flooded into the first show.

"It's completely different than last year," Jason tells The Boot. "Everything is different -- the whole look, the lighting, the video ... And I'm involved in all of that. At the end of last year, we designed a rough draft of what I wanted, or what I thought would be cool, and then it goes back and forth for awhile, like 'OK, what about this, and what about this, and what if we take this away?' It's cool because they send it to you in computer graphics, and you can see it in 3-D, so you know exactly what it's going to look like when you get it! It's pretty unbelievable. We're selling 360 [degrees of seats] this year, so there are people all around the stage, and it's pretty insane!"

Fans at the upcoming tour dates will get to hear Jason's latest single, 'Flyover States,' which will be the final single from his multi-platinum 'Party' album. He's been busy readying his new CD and says that producer Michael Knox is now putting the final touches on the new project, which will likely include another collaboration with his 'Dirt Road Anthem' partner, Ludacris. He won't confirm or deny the duet rumor, although he did hint at it during interviews recently on the Grammy nomination party red carpet.

"Me recording with Ludacris? Maybe ... you never know. I love collaborating with other artists. He was in town a few weeks ago and we were hanging out in the studio, and he listened to some stuff I had cut for my new record. So I'm not gonna say yes or no on that, but I definitely wouldn't rule that out in the future!"

Jason has set the bar pretty high to follow up the success of his multi-platinum-selling 'My Kinda Party' -- the Grammy-nominated CD was the top-selling album of 2011 and was named iTunes Country Album of the Year. A single from that album, the crossover smash, 'Don't You Wanna Stay' with Kelly Clarkson, is up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the Grammy Awards, as well. Jason has enlisted the help of tour mate Lauren Alaina to sing Kelly's part in the duet while he's out on tour.
