New details are emerging about the upcoming film, 'Sweetwater,' which will mark Jason Aldean's acting debut.

The film features an all-star cast, including January Jones and Ed Harris. Jones plays a former prostitute who moves to New Mexico with her husband, where blood is shed over a landowner's fanatical religious ways.

Aldean plays a henchman who, he says, is responsible for some of the more grisly scenes in the movie. “I get to shoot a couple of people and I end up getting put down as well in the film," he explains (quote via Taste of Country).

The singer shared the poster for the movie via Twitter on Tuesday (Sept. 24).

The 36-year-old says that while he has wanted to branch out into acting for some time, he is unsure if he'll ever take on another role. “It’s one of those things where if I do a movie, I don’t even know if I’m any good,” he explains. “So, I may do one and it sucks and I’m a horrible actor, and I’ll never do another one.”

'Sweetwater' will be released in theaters nationwide on Oct. 9.
