Jason Aldean snagged his 12th No. 1 single yesterday (Sept. 23) with ‘Night Train.’

The title track off Aldean’s new album was written by Neil Thrasher and Michael Dulaney, and hit No. 1 on the Billboard chart in the US and Canada.

"When I first heard this song we were already done looking for material for this last record, but I just loved it and thought it was worth making room for," Aldean says in a press release. "It seems so crazy to say that this is my 12th No. 1 -- I promise you each one is just as sweet as the first one."

The country singer, who hails from Macon, Ga., has also announced plans to release ‘Night Train to Georgia,’ a live concert filmed at the Sanford Stadium at the University of Georgia, on Oct. 15.

In addition to the No. 1 ranking of ‘Night Train,’ Aldean is up for three awards at this year's CMA Awards on Nov. 6, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for ‘The Only Way I Know,’ with Luke Bryan and Eric Church.
