Jason Aldean ‘Raps’ Up New Album

The past year has seen Jason Aldean at the top of his game. He has scored three back-to-back No. 1 hits with 'Big Green Tractor,' 'She's Country' and 'The Truth,' and the country star is closing in on having his fourth consecutive chart-topper with 'Crazy Town.' He is currently in the midst of opening the Brooks & Dunn Last Rodeo tour and is preparing to get back to headlining his own shows starting in September.

While staying busy on the road, Jason has also been putting countless hours into the recording studio. "We're about half way finished with the next album," Jason says. "We've cut maybe 10 or 11 songs so far."

Jason has kept tight lipped on what fans can expect this next go around, but his producer, Michael Knox, told The Boot to expect something a little different from the Georgia native -- a "country rap" song! Could it be his next single? "We haven't decided it yet, but we've narrowed it down between two songs, I believe," Jason explains. "Hopefully the album will be out in November. We're working on it whenever we have a day off."

Jason will be taking a few days off from the road before performing at the Nashville Rising flood benefit concert in Nashville on June 22. Other artists scheduled to appear at the event include Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, LeAnn Rimes, Taylor Swift, Montgomery Gentry, Billy Ray Cyrus, and more.
