Jason Aldean's years of experience as an opening act on some of country music's hottest tours have provided him with an invaluable education -- and a clear picture of his own perceived limitations.

"One thing I learned a long time ago was that I wasn't Alan Jackson," says Aldean. "I didn't have a voice that good, so I had to do other things to get people's attention."

Aldean, who's currently sharing the stage with Toby Keith on his Biggest and Baddest tour is readying the release of his third album, 'Wide Open,' on April 7.

"Wide open is the only way I know how to live,' says the double-platinum-selling Aldean. "When it came time to give this album a title, that track just summed it all up ... it describes my personality and attitude 100 percent."

The new disc's first single, 'She's Country,' has become the fastest rising single of Aldean's career.
