Jason Aldean is committed to the cure -- and so are his fans! The superstar entertainer hosted his annual Concert for the Cure event on the eve of breast cancer awareness month in Roanoke, Va. The sold-out crowd at the Sept. 30 show helped Jason raise $315,000 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.

After a week-long eBay auction, one loyal and generous fan shelled out $7,500 on an exclusive V.I.P package to the event, which included roundtrip airfare for two, hotel accommodations, front row seats and a private meet-and-greet with the 'Tattoos on This Town' singer, with 80% of the money going to Susan G. Komen.

"This is one of my favorite things we do all year and taking it on the road to other cities has been huge in helping us bring in more money for Komen," Jason comments on his annual event. "All of the money we raised will go to the local Roanoke effort, allowing them to give free mammograms to those who can't afford it. We'll pick a different spot for next year and try to beat it. October is a big month for raising money and awareness, and I have to thank my fans for doing their part! Seeing an arena filled with pink is just a really cool thing!"

Jason isn't the only country singer raising awareness for the debilitating disease. Prior to her concert on Oct. 14 at the Empire State Building, Martina McBride will turn the historic building pink to spread awareness for breast cancer. The 'I'm Gonna Love You Through It' singer will pull the light switch during an invitation-only reception and private show, which is set to air exclusively on Clear Channel Radio's websites.
