Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser are taking their legendary Traler Park Nights on the road, with CMT along for the ride. The longtime friends will co-headline CMT on Tour '09, which kicks off in October. Playing together again has long been a goal of the two, who once shared a writer's room dubbed the 'Traler Park' and played together in bars for tips. (And no, that's not meant to say Trailer Park -- read the funny story of its misspelling here.)

"We couldn't even afford to pay the bands. We would book this all-night entertainment gig, and the bands would split the tips ... Everybody would take home about ten bucks," Jamey tells The Boot of the good old days. "But those shows got to be, no matter where we did them, we were packing the place out from the stage to the bathroom. It was really special for us."

Jamey and Randy feel a special kinship, as well, because they came up through the ranks at the same time."We'd be cruising around in my truck or his, singing demos together and writing songs. And after we were done, we'd party together," Randy reminisces to ThatNashvillesound.com. "We definitely kicked down that Nashville door together and kicked our way in. We always figured it would be easier to do with two of us rather than one. So we've always supported one another in that way. It hasn't been easy, but to do what we wanted musically, we had to do it."
