James Otto and Wife Amy Expecting First Baby
James Otto and his wife, Amy, are thrilled to announce they are expecting their first baby.
"Amy and I are so excited and feel so blessed," James shares with PEOPLE. "I am overwhelmed with joy at the idea of becoming a father! This is truly going to be an amazing, life-altering experience."
James and Amy have been married five years. Their big news today also means Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus is going to be an uncle! He's married to Amy's sister, Allison.
A member of the MuzikMafia, along with pals Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy, James co-wrote Jamey Johnson's 'In Color.' The song was nominated for a Grammy in 2008 for Best County Song, and was also the Academy of Country Music's Song of the Year that same year. James had his own first No. 1 hit in 2008 off his latest album, 'Sunset Man,' with 'Just Got Started Lovin' You,' which was also the most-played song on country radio that year. James is now working on a new album, expected later this year.
