Jake Owen and Billy Gibbons Perform ‘Days of Gold’ on the 2013 American Country Awards

Jake Owen got to share the stage with music royalty during Tuesday night's (Dec. 10) American Country Awards broadcast.

The singer sang his latest hit, 'Days of Gold,' with ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, who seemed perfectly at home at the country music awards. The song is the title track of his latest album, which was released one week ago, on Dec. 3.

Gibbons added a shot of rock to the fast-paced tune, which is a perfect fit for the song's message. “The days of gold are the good times… the times we remember,” Owen says. “The times we reflect on. I’ll always look back on my life and remember these days. For me, these times in my life right now really are the days of gold!”

Performing with Gibbons is a memory Owens will undoubtedly never forget. He was also nominated for an ACA for Single of the Year, for his recent hit, 'The One That Got Away.'
