Rootsy UK duo Ida Mae are taking fans to church -- literally -- with a newly released performance of their song "Reaching." Readers can press play above to watch the video, premiering exclusively on The Boot.

Ida Mae's "Reaching" performance is intimate, and features vintage-inspired production elements (think: RCA microphones from the 1950s) and the stunning acoustics of its setting. The duo recorded this clip in a medieval church in Stoke Ferry, an area just outside of their home county of Norfolk.

"This is the only take of "Reaching" that we did," Ida Mae recall. "It was at the end of the day, and then we all went for fish and chips!"

Bringing together the lush vocals of Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean, Ida Mae's stripped-down Americana sound has already earned them a great deal of acclaim. The husband-and-wife duo recently toured alongside Southern rockers Blackberry Smoke, and they recently hit the road with rock hitmakers Greta Van Fleet later this month; in June, they're booked for the Bonnaroo music festival as well.

"Reaching" appears on Ida Mae's forthcoming debut album, titled Chasing Lights. It's set for release on June 7 via Thirty Tigers, and fans can learn more at IdaMaeMusic.com.
