Garth Brooks is still performing in Las Vegas, but the veteran entertainer has added another show -- in another country -- to his concert schedule. The superstar heads to Canada in July to perform as part of the legendary Calgary Stampede's 10-day music festival.

Garth will take the stage on July 12 as part of the festival's 100th anniversary, and he says he was honored to add his name to the lineup. "I was lucky enough to get to play Cheyenne on their 100th," he explains to the Calgary Herald. "When the invitation to play Calgary's 100th came in, I didn't think twice."

But while the husband of Trisha Yearwood and dad to three daughters continues his Vegas run, a full-scale tour -- and new music -- are off his radar for the time being.

"Our youngest is a sophomore, so we've got two more years here," Garth noted in an exclusive interview with The Boot earlier this month. "I spend all my time right now trying to combat music retail and copyright. Because if I'm going to enter back into this race when the girls go off to college, right now there's no reason to make new music other than the fact that you want to make new music. The way the system is set up, it's impossible ... We just need to get our collective stuff together and if we do that, I can enjoy a possible shot at a second half of a run. But until that happens, I've got nothing planned."

The Calgary Stampede takes place July 6 - 15. The remainder of the lineup will be announced here on May 24. Meanwhile, Garth can be found on select weekends at the Encore Theater in the Wynn Las Vegas Casino. Check here for dates and ticket information.
