Reba McEntire could be headed back to the Broadway stage next year. The New York Post reports the singer may star in a revival of 'Anything Goes,' the Cole Porter musical that introduced the world to songs like 'You're the Top,' 'I Get a Kick Out of You,' and, of course, the classic title song.

In 2001, Reba created a sensation on the Great White Way with her portrayal of Annie Oakley in 'Annie Get Your Gun' -- a production which also included future superstar Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers in the role of 'Little Jake.'

Since that successful run, producers have been trying to lure Reba back to Broadway, with offers to star in 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown,' and 'South Pacific,' but she was in Hollywood, starring for six seasons in the sitcom 'Reba,' while also continuing her successful country-music career.

"She was harder to pin down than Hugh Jackman," says one producer.

If she does return to Broadway for 'Anything Goes,' Reba would play evangelist-turned-nightclub singer Reno Sweeney, a role originated by Ethel Merman, who also created the role of Annie Oakley.
