The Florida Georgia Line guys have been tapped to host the inaugural American Country Countdown Awards on Dec. 15.

“Brian [Kelley] and Tyler [Hubbard] are incredible artists and friends with undeniable chemistry that will make them the perfect hosts for the first-ever American Country Countdown Awards,” says Mark Bracco, executive vice president of programming and development for Dick Clark Productions.

The show, which is based on the long-running radio program American Country Countdown With Kix Brooks, will include performances and the presentation of the first-ever NASH Icon award.

“Fans of the American Country Countdown are some of the most loyal and passionate fans around, so it’s a natural next step to bring that popular brand to television,” says Simon Andreae, executive vice president of alternative entertainment for Fox. “Fox has a long history of big, bold music events, and we can’t wait to bring down the house in Nashville this December with some of the most popular names in country music.”

The American Country Countdown Awards replace the American Country Awards, which were held from 2010 to 2013. The ACC Awards will air live from Nashville's Music City Center on Monday, Dec. 15 at 8 PM ET on Fox.
