Florida Georgia Line got their ‘Sun Daze’ on Monday night (Dec. 15) at the inaugural American Country Countdown Awards. Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard performed their latest single after winning the award for Group / Duo of the Year.

Maddie & Tae announced FGL’s victory, which was followed immediately by the duo’s performance of the laid-back party jam, their latest Top 10 tune. Confetti fell from the ceiling during the final chorus as the guys encouraged the fans to sing along.

"The crazy thing is, Tyler and I started this thing in my Chevy Tahoe with a dream and a prayer of playing country music, and it’s all because of you, our fans," Kelley said while accepting the trophy. "We love you so much.”

Florida Georgia Line beat out Lady Antebellum, the Band Perry, Eli Young Band and Zac Brown Band to take home the Group / Duo award. Because Kelley and Hubbard also hosted the show, their win allowed them to pull off a country music awards show trifecta that Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and Reba McEntire would be proud of: hosting, performing and winning in the same night.
