Canadian country duo Doc Walker are premiering the music video for their lonesome new song "Get Back on My Horse" exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play above to watch.

Released in 2017 on Doc Walker's album Weathervane, "Get Back on My Horse" is about picking yourself back up after a major setback. In the new video, photos of Canadians who've endured loss and overcome obstacles -- including a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police holding a photo of a fallen fellow officer -- play behind the song's lyrics.

""Get Back on My Horse" may go down as my favorite Doc Walker song, ever,” the band's Dave Wasyliw tells The Boot. “The lyrics make me cry, but the song still has this hopeful and liberating feeling to it. The recording is lovely, and [bandmate] Chris [Thorsteinson]'s voice has never sounded better.”

Comprised of Wasyliw and Thorsteinson, Doc Walker are one of the biggest acts in Canadian country music. They've scored more than 20 Top 10 hits and taken home armfuls of awards -- including a number of Canadian Country Music Awards and a Juno -- throughout their 20 years as a band. They released Weathervane, their ninth studio album, in March of last year.

Fans will be able to catch Doc Walker out on the road in the new year as they embark on their Acoustic Songs & Stories From the Heartland Tour. The trek will kick off in Winnipeg, Manitoba (their home province) on Jan. 26. Visit DocWalker.ca for more information.
