Dillon Carmichael may not always sit down to write romantic love songs -- he initially wrote "Dancing Away With My Heart" as a heartbreak ballad, for example -- but for the right person, he does. That's the message behind "I Do for You," which tells the story of a man so smitten he'll go to church, trim his beard and do just about anything else his partner asks of him.

For the song's new lyric video, premiering exclusively on The Boot, Carmichael enlisted his girlfriend, Shayla, as his co-star. The couple's real-life love story lends a special magic to the treatment as they hang out in a backyard, play with a tiny dog and dance along as Carmichael sings the song's lyrics and strums an acoustic guitar.

"Making this lyric video was so special to me! I got to make so many great memories with my beautiful Shayla," Carmichael says of the experience. "I'm so happy we get to share with the world a little glimpse into our lives."

"I Do for You" is the titular song off of Carmichael's forthcoming EP, which is set for release on Friday (Oct. 18). The five-track project also includes his recently shared "99 Problems (Fish Ain't One)," an oddball, rock-inspired number that couldn't be more of a contrast from the traditional country stylings and sweet sincerity of "I Do for You." The project also includes "Feel That Way Again," which was co-written by Chris Stapleton.
