Dierks Bentley's 'I Hold On' has been certified platinum, signifying sales in excess of one million copies. The song, which was the second single from his No. 1 album 'Riser,' was written by Bentley, along with Brett James.

“I’ve said from the beginning, if you want to know who I am in three minutes and thirty seconds, play this song,” the Arizona native says of the tune. “The fact that country radio and the fans got on board for this one and that I’m getting such great feedback to the entire album is so overwhelming."

'I Hold On' was certified gold, for sales of 500,000 copies, in the spring. 'Drunk on a Plane,' which was released after 'I Hold On,' was certified platinum in August.

"When Dierks played us the 'Riser' album for the first time, we knew it was something special," UMG Nashville President Cindy Mabe says (quote via All Access Music Group). "But having two back-to-back No. 1 platinum hits within a year shows the real power of how Dierks' music has resonated and how he's connected with the fans."
