For the past decade or so, Dierks Bentley has rung in the New Year by jumping into Nashville's Percy Priest Lake for "good luck." He's chronicled the last few with video footage, and for 2012 planned to do the same.

On Jan. 1, Dierks was lucky to wake up to temperatures in the 60s, and the jump went off without a hitch ... almost. After the festivities, the singer got a message from his "video guy," Ryan Silver, saying that the footage was corrupted. Being the fun-loving man that he is, Dierks decided to recreate the event for his DBTV watchers on Jan. 3 -- in 30 degree weather -- and give Ryan a little payback at the same time.
