Sometimes new dads just can't remember everything. Dierks Bentley was reminded of that when someone had to tell him that he'll be celebrating Father's Day in a different way this year.

"I didn't even know when it was," says the new dad to 8-month-old Evie. "So yeah, I'm gonna definitely get an extra bus and bring everyone out on the road with me this weekend."

Dierks admits that celebrating as a dad takes on a whole meaning to him. "As a son, I would usually just make the phone call and forget to send the card out in time. But now that I'm a dad, I expect some cards and recognition!" But, the singer humbly adds, "Really in our house it's Mother's Day that deserves all the major praise, because I've been fairly busy this year."

Dierks may get even busier if an idea he has in the works goes as planned. He will take his charity motorcycle ride, Miles and Music for Kids, to six cities in the next two years. "We are going to try to make it as big as we can possibly can," he explains. "When we're on the road, we thought it would be a good idea to give back to the local community where we're playing. They give a lot of time, money and applause, so if we could do something while we're there to make that day bigger and more special and tie it all into this deal, we thought we'd try it."

Dierks is teaming up with CMT and Children's Miracle Network to make it all come together. "There's a lot of work to be done but it could be really cool thing. It was great idea to begin with and last year biggest year with folks like Tim McGraw, John Rich and Jamey Johnson turning out for it. I'm fortunate to have friends in this town who have been part of it from the beginning."

Miles and Music for Kids will take place in Nashville, Bentley's hometown of Phoenix, Ariz., Seattle, Wa., Atlanta, Ga., Dallas, Texas and Chicago, Ill. All proceeds will benefit Children's Miracle Network hospitals in those areas. The Nashville ride will serve as the kickoff event on October 11, with the concert scheduled for Nashville's Riverfront Park. It will once again benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, a Children's Miracle Network hospital.
